Mrs. Shecklers Update

Dear RCP Families and Friends,

We are well into quarter three and students and teachers are working hard to prepare for upcoming assessments!  Our students have been setting goals and committing to reaching them.

Last week’s School Choice Open House had a strong turnout!  Many families toured the school as they make their final selections for their child’s school next year.  Dr. Foy is still scheduling tours of Rayma on Friday mornings. Please call the office if you are interested in scheduling a tour for your incoming Kindergarten student for the 2020/21 school year.

I am extremely proud of the efforts of our students in our recent Inventors’ Fair!  Rayma had many winners and each winning student received a substantial prize! Thank you to Ms. Few and Ms. Ahmad for their support of our students.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, February 8th.  Ms. Few will be hosting a booth at the District’s STEMtastic event held at the Lee County District office.  She will be bringing her robots so be sure to join her and have fun visiting all of the booths at the event!

Congratulations to our two teacher finalists for the Golden Apple Award Program!  Both Ms. Good and Ms. Reed are in the top 30 finalists. We wish them luck as they move forward in the process.  Also, Ms. Parks has been recognized as a Teacher of Distinction.

Regards,

Mrs. Sheckler

The Counselor’s Corner with Mrs. Sherman

It is a new semester which brings new opportunities for success at Rayma!  Approximately 300 students had perfect attendance Quarter 2. Wow! I am planning a Bingo Party for them this month and cannot wait

to celebrate their achievement.  Now that we are back at school, please review S.W.I.M. expectations with your child and have them explain what they do to meet these expectations at school each day.  We look forward to celebrating positive behavior at Rayma C. Page Elementary with our next PBS party in March. Let’s make it a great Quarter 3!

Odyssey of the Mind

Rayma C. Page Elementary has 27 students who are preparing to compete in the Regional Odyssey of the Mind Competition on February 29, 2020.  These students have been working for months preparing skits, creating props, practicing spontaneous problem-solving and developing solutions to challenging problems.  Everyone is welcome to come out and support our students as they compete at South Fort Myers High School on February 29th!
